Ex Corpore in Picturam is an artistic journey in which the body becomes both origin and method of painting. Emerging from decades of interdisciplinary practice—visual arts, dance, archaeology, and cultural studies—Nasrah Nefer transforms embodied knowledge into a visual language that is precise, reflective, and deeply contemporary.
Her works operate at the threshold of gesture and structure: movements once performed through dance now migrate into line, form, and chromatic tension. What appears abstract is rooted in physical memory; what seems spontaneous is underpinned by intellectual clarity.
This collection brings together major series from the last years—Native Narrativeless, Ember Whispers, Florets, Slims, Pittura Metafisica, Chromatic Undercurrents, and selected figurative and botanical works—each revealing a different facet of how experience becomes image.
The viewer enters a space where body, consciousness, and material unfold in quiet dialogue.
