Under Milk Wood

                            ´Under Milk Wood` is the final work of Dylan Thomas (1914-1953), one of the greatest English poets of his century. Published posthumously in 1954, it soon gained wide popularity and came to be regarded as his masterpiece. He wrote this ´Play of Voices` about a fictional Welsh coastal town called Llaregyb, populated by quite eccentric inhabitants. For twenty-four hours they are observed with close - and satirical - attention: their dreams, their actions, and their salty exchanges.
